Search Engine Optimization will increase the amount of traffic you get to your website and will also increase the amount of cash you will make. Below I’m going to go through a list of things you should check on your website and how you can optimize them.

The Title tag, it should include your keywords 3 to 9 are optimal for the title tag. Make sure every page on your website has an optimized title tag.

The Meta tag or description tag should have between 25 to 30 words and it should also include your keyword. Make sure to write something decent in this tag as it is shown in Google when you page is displayed in the searches.

The alt tag for images should also include your keywords in there, so be sure to do this as every little thing adds up.

Back links are how many pages are linking to you, you should have at least a couple hundred depending on your niche and the competition. You can buy back links or you can email website owners in the same niche as you for a reciprocal link.

Internal links are how many links are pointing to your own website within your website, be sure to have this as it can drive you up the ranks.

Keyword density is the percentage of how many times a word appears through out the page or site. This should be between 3 to 7 any more and the search engine will think your site is spam.

Write good content that will excite and interest the reader as content is king. Make sure you don’t copy other peoples content as it is illegal and boring.

Make sure your domain name or website name has the keyword within it. As this will certainly drive you up the search engines.

Search Engine Optimization is a technique used to increase the amount of traffic your website is getting. SEO involves optimizing your websites content to adhere to the search engines rules so that it can rank higher and effectively more people will be able to see your website.

SEO is very important when trying to make quick cash online, without traffic you won’t be able to make money. Most of the traffic you’ll want will be coming from the search engines. Of course there are other ways of getting traffic but I’ll be discussing that in a different post.

SEO is used to target specific keywords relating to your website for example if your website is about golf, when someone types golf in Google you’ll want your website to come in the top ten places. It includes many things such as but not limited to:

• Page Rank
• Getting indexed in well known search engines such as Google, MSN and Yahoo
• Internal Links
• Keyword targetting

SEO is a very tedious job so some people pay hundreds of dollars to consultants for what I’m going to teach you for free, however it is well worth knowing this information so you can do it yourself.
